Alan Yarcusko, Vice President, Governmental & Regulatory Affairs and General Counsel, Diversified Businesses, Bridgestone Americas, Inc., leads an integrated advocacy function bringing together professionals in government affairs, technical standards, and regulatory affairs.
Mr. Yarcusko is an engineer who began his career in the automotive electronics industry in Detroit. After receiving his law degree, he had a litigation practice with the Cleveland office of a national law firm. He joined the Bridgestone Americas Law Department in 2001 and served as General Counsel – Litigation. In 2012, Mr. Yarcusko became Director of Technical Standards & Regulations for Bridgestone Americas.
For the next five years, he was an active member of USTMA’s Tire Policy Committee and other task forces. Mr. Yarcusko returned to the Law Department in 2017 to serve as General Counsel for eight Bridgestone business units, and he continues to serve in that role. In January 2020, Mr. Yarcusko became Chair of Bridgestone’s Global Standards & Regulations Function, and, as of January 2022 he is leading the integrated advocacy function for Bridgestone Americas. Mr. Yarcusko has served on the boards of the Tire & Rim Association and several nonprofit organizations in Northeast Ohio, and he is part of the leadership team at the Bridgestone Americas Technology Center in Akron. He earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and JD from Case Western Reserve University
