November 19, 2024

WASHINGTON— November 19, 2024 — The Tire Recycling Foundation (TRF) on November 14, announced its Board of Directors and Board President, Anne Forristall Luke, President and CEO of U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA). Anne will serve a one-year term.

The Tire Recycling Foundation, led by the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) and the Tire Industry Association (TIA), is committed to securing funding and allocating grants for research, education, intervention and demonstration projects targeting critical gaps within the tire recycling value chain across the United States. The incoming Board consists of 15 global industry leaders with deep knowledge and diverse expertise in the manufacturing, recycling and transportation industries.

Anne has served as President and CEO of the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) since January 1, 2016. She has over 35 years of executive leadership, public affairs and government relations experience in both the public and private sectors. Under her leadership, USTMA’s End-of-Life Tires Program has flourished with an enhanced focus on growing the tire recycling and reclamation markets and advancing the industry’s sustainability vision.

“It is an honor to serve in this role alongside our newly appointed Board of Directors who bring a wealth of experience and leadership in the tire recycling and manufacturing sectors, uniquely positioning the Foundation to achieve critical milestones in the tire recycling and reclamation markets,” said Anne. “Although we have made significant progress, with almost 80% of end-of-life tires currently consumed by end-use markets, we are committed to achieving 100% circularity. The Board’s collective expertise and leadership experience will play a vital role in developing industry-wide solutions to expand the market for tire recycling and enhance sustainable end-of-life tire management.”

With the goal of achieving 100% circularity for end-of-life tires, the Tire Recycling Foundation will build partnerships to drive significant progress in advancing tire recycling technologies. A primary focus for the Board is to accelerate the adoption of innovative and emerging end-of-life tire market technologies like rubber-modified asphalt (RMA), which provides enhanced performance, economic efficiency and environmental sustainability.
