U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association Elects Three New Members to its Board of Directors

WASHINGTON – December 18, 2024 – The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) today announced the election of three new members to its Board of Directors, Scott Damon, Bridgestone, and Ryan Waldron and Brad Heim, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

“We are pleased to welcome Scott, Ryan and Brad to USTMA’s Board of Directors,” said Anne Forristall Luke, USTMA president and CEO. “Their expertise and innovative perspectives will play a pivotal role in accelerating USTMA’s critical mission of advancing innovation, safety and sustainability within the tire industry, strengthening the Association’s positioning to seize new opportunities, address emerging challenges and continue shaping a resilient forward-looking industry.”

The incoming Board members hold senior positions at two of USTMA’s 11 member companies, Bridgestone Americas and The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

Scott Damon, Bridgestone  

Scott Damon serves as Chief Executive Officer of Bridgestone West (Americas and EMEA) and Group President, Bridgestone Americas. Damon oversees growth strategies and operations across all Bridgestone West business units, driving efficiencies and cost optimization. He also holds the role of Global Chief Digital Transformation Officer of Bridgestone Corporation. Joining Bridgestone Americas in 1996 as a development engineer for Bandag in Muscatine, Iowa, he has held several leadership roles within the company, including Group President, Operations, and COO of Bridgestone Americas. Damon earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Frostburg State University.

Ryan Waldron, Goodyear

Ryan Waldron is the President of Goodyear’s Americas region. In this role, he oversees the company’s largest business unit, leading approximately 30,000 associates across seven core countries, and managing over 700 retail and commercial truck centers and 28 manufacturing facilities. Since joining Goodyear in 2003, Waldron has held numerous leadership positions in finance and supply chain, including Vice President roles overseeing supply chain, logistics and business strategy. Prior to being named to his current role in 2024, Waldron served as President of Goodyear’s North America Consumer business. Waldron holds an MBA from The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Miami University.

Brad Heim, Goodyear

Brad Heim serves as Vice President, Product Development Americas, for Goodyear and will fill the company’s second seat on the USTMA Board of Directors. Throughout his career, Heim has held various leadership roles across product development, manufacturing and quality. Prior to his current role, Heim served as Vice President, Global Quality, in the Goodyear Global Operations and Technology organization, where he advanced tire and service quality across the company’s global operations. Heim earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Case Western Reserve University and holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Akron.
