USTMA Issues Seven Aircraft Tire Service Bulletins

The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association has published seven Aircraft Tire Service Bulletins (ATSB) to offer the most current safety guidelines for tires used on aircraft. While six of the bulletins were updated from previous published versions, Volume 8, “Foreign Object Debris (FOD)” is a new to the ATSB collection focused on keeping tarmacs free from tire damaging debris, a leading cause of aircraft tire damage.

The USTMA’s ATSB Working Group, made up of representatives from Bridgestone, Goodyear and Michelin, updated the bulletins, which are published by SAE International, a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries.
